Hey there race fans.

The committee just wanted to throw out an update about our planned expansion into the outdoors and the site at Steam Mills.

We are currently waiting on the council to get a lease drawn up that is approved by all parties. There seems to be some difficulties within the council, of them track down the original land documents to be able to do this all above board and legal.

But, it IS happening! Whilst we might not have a venue outdoors to race at this year, we most certainly can try and plan for 2024 and the warmer months to get it all done and open.

For now, with funds as tight as they are for the club, we might be looking at a mixed surface setup of grass and astro. We are also looking into options for a crawling area on the site for eventual On-Road track. Currently in talks with the Gloucestershire Crawling clubs to get a venue that can be used by them.

The other bit of news, which ties into the Off-road track… we’re looking into a new class of racing and one that really fits into the local areas’ passions. Rally! Rules would be simple, and the cars we’ve been looking at are an affordable option to get people hooked on RC Racing.
